Great value July 3, 2010 Scott FS (Sacramento, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've owned this watch for a number of years now, and it is a great watch. I wanted something dressy, but not too expensive. Something to wear for a night on the town. This fits the bill great.
It's a very thin, nice-looking watch. It's held up well. I only use it on occasion. Obviously, it's not a watch I'm going to wear when I repair my car.
The only problem I've had is with the leather band. It cracked a little too early, in my opinion. However, I knew that eventually it would fail. It's easily replaced with a quality leather band.
I don't think you can go wrong with this watch.
Nothing but praise for this watch November 13, 2009 Garry Daniel (Knoxville, TN United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this watch eight months ago and I have to say it's great!
It's very accurate, it's stylish, and very affordable. I have always been partial to thin watches since I'm prone to snagging them on things, and this one works out very well for me. It's not a fancy watch with all the trimmings, but then, all I expect of a time piece is to keep accurate time. And it does that very well. If you're looking for a watch that will monitor your heart rate, and give you hourly stock reports, then look elsewhere. But if you're like me and want a very good looking watch that won't sprain your wrist or start your car, then this wonderful Seiko is the one for you. Very good watch. Very good watch maker. I bought it, I like it. You probably will too.
Such a Classic Style for those who regard themselves as old school. September 27, 2009 Johnny (California) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
You can have the Titanium Sporty look with all the bells and whistles, just give me a quality watch that can tell me what I need to know...the time.
This is a very sharp setup. The body seems small and I was worried that I'd have to squint to see the time, but this is not the case. I have a small wrist and this is the ideal fit for me.
The designer who put this together knows the heart of an old school taste in every way.
This watch makes me look good no matter where I go...
Poor Man's Cartier August 5, 2009 CB (Nashville, TN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had the watch for several months now, and I am pleased. Though admittedly, I do not wear it a great deal as I have many watches (4 Seiko-s alone) and this particular one fills a very specific, narrow "dress watch" nitch. Anyway, it is nothing special but this little quartz beauty will do just fine until I finally land that Cartier.
Beautiful and elegant design June 23, 2009 GoBlueFan (Worthington, Ohio USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This watch was inspired by the Cartier tank watch, but of course, cost thousands less. It is very thin and easy to read. The black leather band is comfortable, and unlike a metal link band, easy to adjust for size. The watch doesn't have a calendar date or stopwatch feature, but then again, this is a dress watch. I have other more full-featured watches, but this is one that I wear when I want to dress more formally.
Citizen does make an Eco-Drive solar version of the tank watch, but I chose this one because of the price, free 1-day shipping offer, and rebate. I am hoping the Seiko battery is long-lived enough not to need changing every year. So far, I am very pleased with the watch.
