Great watch but weak clasp August 27, 2010 R. Lamb (NYC, NY) I bought this watch on a cruise ship for ~ $150 to keep time during various activities. I took the watch diving to 60ft with no issues, and consistently wore it through many rigorous exercise. It was comfortable and light enough to wear even during working out at the gym (though i wouldn't recommend doing so for safety reasons, but it's light enough that i forgot to take it off).
I tried one other solar watch and it was very big and heavy, making it uncomfortable much of the time. This was my first titanium watch and i liked the fact that it was extremely light. i didn't like that the bracelet doesn't bend much at all. If I take it off and place it on my desk at work, I have to place it on its side and can't see the time properly (as in right-side up) since the formed band doesn't collapse. This, to me, was a minor inconvenience for an otherwise exceptional watch.
The downfall of this watch for me was when I wore it while tubing down a river. The clasp came loose during the trip and the watch fell off. Being so light, i didnt' even notice it was gone until the trip was over.
Aside from that it is a very nice watch and i would consider purchasing again. It has been hard for me to find any other titanium band solar watch at this price point.
Great Watch! July 29, 2010 Cyn My son loves this watch. It is just what he wanted. Glow in the dark hands. Good for sea water.
GREAT WATCH! July 14, 2010 castro 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had my eco-drive for about a month now and I can really say I am very much satisfied with my purchase.
I also have hairy arms but I have not had any problems at all having my hairs caught in the watch band.
Only things I wish it had would be a Day feature and a perpetual calendar. Other than that is perfect!
Scratches July 10, 2010 Stacy 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Watch looks great until you wear it a few days and start to notice the scratches on the band. I work in an office setting and cannot figure out why the band has so many scratches. They are tiny scratches that when all combined makes the watch band look very dull. Gets worse daily. I have only had this watch for a month and wish I had one with a leather band. I do not recommend this watch.
Great Choice July 7, 2010 EDG I've had this watch about a month now, and love it. I have small wrists, so had to have several links removed but the watch fits and feels great. And how can you not like the eco-drive -- charges in normal light and never needs a battery.
